The Joint Steering Group congratulates the inaugural winners of the Best Paper, Best Presentation and Best Poster awards. These awards were presented at the conclusion of Day 3.

BEST PAPER

The award for Best Paper was shared by:

  • Associate Professor Tim Neild, Department of Human Physiology, School of Medicine, Flinders University, for the paper titled Defining, Measuring and Maintaining the Quality of Problem-based Learning.
  • Associate Professor Rod St Hill, Associate Dean (Academic), Faculty of Business, University of Southern Queensland, for the paper titled Developing a New Faculty Approach to Quality Policy on Plagiarism.

Both winners received a cheque for $1000 and a framed award certificate.

BEST Presentation

The award for Best Presentation was shared by:

  • Dr Janice Orrell, Academic Coordinator, Human Resources Division, Staff Development and Training Unit, Flinders University, for the presentation titled Work-Integrated Learning Programmes: Management and Educational Quality.
  • Associate Professor Michael Roberts, Physiology Learning and Teaching Centre, Discipline of Physiology, School of Molecular and Biomedical Science, University of Adelaide, for the presentation titled Attaining Quality in Science Education through a Teaching-Research Nexus.

Both winners received a cheque for $1000 and a framed award certificate.

BEST POSTER

The award for Best Poster was won by:

  • Professor Kobus Mentz, Director, School for Education and Training, North-West University, South Africa, for the poster titled Merged Universities: What are the Quality Issues at Departmental Level? A Case Study.

Professor Mentz received a cheque for $500 and an award certificate.
